Description

Roc Search's Client is currently recruiting for a Field installation Engineer covering the Northumberland, Tyne, North and West Yorkshire on an initial 3 month contract.

Key Duties and accountabilities:

  • Carry out site suitability surveys, data logger installation and retrieval works on footways and highways in accordance with the company's Policies and Procedures, Health and Safety legislation and Environmental Standards.
  • Setting up and downloading water survey devices and delivering the data to analysts.
  • Assisting with data analysis.
  • Maintenance and stock control of survey devices.
  • Ensure that all work undertaken is with the "Right First Time - Every Time" philosophy and ensure client satisfaction with the complete client service.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time, including the use of PDA type paperless mobile working solutions.
  • Must have the flexibility to work "out of region" as required. This may necessitate staying away from home for part of a working week.
  • Occasional "out of hours" working may be required to complete specific tasks.

Qualifications:

The below qualifications are desirable, but NOT essential, as equally important is the ability to demonstrate the right knowledge and/or experience through a proven career history. The appropriate training will be given to the right candidate.

  • Valid UK Clean Driving Licence
  • Utility SHEA (Water) qualification (or equivalent safety awareness course)
  • Manual Handling qualification
  • NRSWA Unit 2 Signing, Lighting and Guarding
  • EUSR Water Hygiene Training
  • Entry into NC2 Category Confined Space (Water Industry Specific City and Guilds qualification)

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Field Engineer/Technician/Service role
  • Experience of working on pressurised water distribution networks (Desired)
  • Computer literate
