Lead Project Manager - Insurance - Transition Assurance - 6 months - Edinburgh - £356/day
A top retail bank based in Edinburgh is currently seeking a Lead Project Manager to join a Transition Assurance programme for an initial 6 month period.
Overview of the Programme/Project
The project is a Insurance Strategic NDA'ed Programme. It requires a Project Manager to take over the management of a Transition Assurance Project, focused on conducting assurance activity for the transition of a core business function.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
The PM will be a part of the Transition workstream. They will be responsible for coordinating all activities relating to the assurance activities of the transfer of the Mutual Funds (Transfer Agency) function to a new supplier, core responsibilities will include:
- Pick up existing project plans and see through to delivery, managing key stakeholders along the way
- Ensure dependencies are tracked throughout the project, plans are maintained and key RAID items are identified, managed and tracked throughout the life cycle.
- Working with the supplier assurance teams to co-ordinate delivery of the activity across both organisations
- Working with the other core transition projects within the programme, reporting the programme managers as necessary
- Regular tracking, and reporting of progress across the project, and ensuring compliance with the relevant internal and external governance processes
- Support the Programme Manager where required
Essential Skills and Experience
- A track record in strong self-managed Project Management, Financial Services or Insurance business
- Good stakeholder management skills
- Understanding of Mutual Funds/Transfer Agency Business
- Experience in Business/Operational Transition
Desirable Skills and Experience
Experience in delivering programmes working with a range of colleagues form Juniors to Board member
