Proteus Europe is searching for a Dutch speaking Datastage Developer to join a prestigious client located in Mechelen, Belgium. This is a contract position with a duration of 1 year. Please note: The client are looking for somebody to start from the beginning of January.Our Client :-
Our client is a company run by the Flemish government in Belgium to provide public transportation with about 3650 buses and 359 trams.
Your New role :-
The IT landscape of De Lijn is in full evolution of an iSeries environment with custom software to an Open Systems environment with package solutions such as SAP, the Giro planning system...
There is a growing need for interfaces between these off the shelf solutions. This assignment is situated in the development of these interfaces in De Lijns standard ETL tool, IBM Datastage.
- You work together with Domain experts and translates their question in relation to data exchanges to an ETL design.
- You develop and document ETL jobs in IBM Datastage.
- You prepare deployment packages and guide ETL jobs to the Production Environment.
- You do the daily operational management of the ETL system.
Your Skills and Qualifications :-
Essential Skills :-
- Good knowledge of Oracle, MS SQL Server and DB2
- Good knowledge of IBM Infosphere Information Server Datastage (Server and Parallel engine); at least 2 years experience as a Developer
- At least two years of experience with relational databases and SQL
- Experience in ETL architecture, design and implementation
- Perfect oral and written knowledge of Dutch
- Team player
- Higher education (Master) with technical / engineering or business economics background or equivalent through experience
