Rooster Teeth is a fast paced, rapidly growing team that creates award winning shows and feature length productions targeting gamers, anime fans and a wide range of others for both it’s own web platforms and others including YouTube, Netflix, Go90 and CrunchyRoll.We are looking for a Senior Front End Engineer who will be responsible for building well-designed applications with modern tools and best practices. The ideal candidate would have a passion for digital entertainment. The candidate would also have a proven track record of development experience to support and fulfill the strategic objectives of a highly cross-functional organization
Responsibilities
Implementation of code changes to resolve issues between APIs
Develop code to report on delivery and distribution of content
Engineering liaison between physical locales
Communication of issues related to content distribution
Qualifications
3+ years working with Ruby on Rails framework and experience integrating with a wide variety of data/service providers
Strong object-oriented software design skills
Experience writing Ruby Gems
Familiarity with Go
Extensive experience creating/managing/interacting with RESTful HTTP APIs
Parsing and generating formatted data in various formats like JSON and XML
Experience with standard Pub/Sub message handling
RabbitMQ, Sidekiq, Redis, AWS SNS/SMS/SQS/Lambda
Experience with standard RDMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)
Experience building service oriented, fault-tolerant distributed systems
Practical understanding as well as hands-on development experience in some cloud/client/data engineering technology like AWS
Experienced in Agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
Solid understanding of network systems, software architecture, and data structures
Strong communication, collaboration, reporting, and analytical skills
