Principal Hardware Engineers (6 months Contract)
Due to recent project wins I am seeking senior Hardware/Electronics engineers for an interesting secure comms programme. You will be supporting the lead engineer to propose hardware architecture to meet requirements & help develop engineering methods which can be applied and adapted as necessary to create solutions.
Key tasks:
* Liaise with customers, external bodies and other engineering functions.
* Identify cost-effective solutions in terms of both development time and materials. Accurately estimate work of self and others.
* Propose/optimise multi-layer PCB stack-up design.
* Get input from peers and manager as required ensuring that work has been reviewed to a suitable level.
* Work closely with mechanical design, software and firmware engineers to get first-off/initial designs working and resolve issues.
Skills & Experience:
Analogue & digital selection & design including DAC, ADC, FPGA.
Familiar with Power supply and PCB.
Design for EMC & TEMPEST and understand test techniques.
Design products that can operate in harsh and rugged environments/conditions
