Description

Harvey Nash's public sector client is recruiting for a Procurement/Contract Manager on an initial 3 month contract, with a high likelihood of extension. You will take a lead role in major procurements, maintain a record of expenditure against capital projects and other significant one-off investments, ensure projects or developments are appropriately funded, particularly for recurring revenue costs. You will also manage contract renewals, negotiations and escalations.

Essential skills:

* High level of knowledge of procurement legislation and best practice

* Knowledge of IT contract management

* Significant experience of procurement and supplier management

* Good communication, interpersonal, negotiation skills

* Previous public sector experience would be highly advantageous
