Full Stack Engineer (Javascript/node) - £ per day - 6 months.

They are looking for a Full Stack Javascript Engineer to work within the Ecommerce team. They have an ambitious goal to replatform to deliver an outstanding experience for our customers, internal business users in order to drive significant business growth. To be successful in this role you will have solid experience building optimised, scalable modular websites using technologies based on JavaScript.
You are expected to know and understand both the good and bad parts of Javascript and the implications in terms of available APIs, patterns, anti-patterns and best practices. You will be in a great environment to solve challenging technical problems and refine your skills as an engineer, learning from and passing knowledge to like-minded and talented colleagues. The role is based in the London, Southwark office.
Responsibilities
- Utilising Javascript to work at all levels of our stack from Front End Components within React to API's written in Node.
- Ensuring that all code is tested to the appropriate standards to allow continuously deployment.
- Working in a team delivering using software development practice such as: Agile, collaborative code ownership, unit testing, BDD, code reviews, GIT, continuously delivery.
- Coding in HTML5, ECMAScript 6, Sass, React, Node.js
Skills & Experience
- Passionate about regularly shipping high quality code to drive growth business.
- Expert in Frontend JavaScript (Ecmascript 2015), Sass, and CSS3
- Expert in Backend Javascript (Node): Express, KOA, Clustering, NPM
- Experience with React, Component-based design, Redux and Webpack
- Experience with node task-runners and Front End packaging tools
- Experience with Node.js test frameworks and tools, eg. Mocha, Chai, Jest, Enzyme
This contract is based on the South Bank in central London and offers a day rate between £ per day depending on experience. The initial duration is 6 months followed by extensions (2 year project).
