Job Overview: "This position is responsible for providing Financial and Operational support to our clients and business partners, on Settlement systems. This includes completing daily controls ensuring our settlement systems balance, participant configuration, maintaining current control process documentation, problem determination and resolution of imbalances and customer enquiries.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform the following functions for Settlement and related reporting:

  • Complete daily controls on the settlement process to include Exchange Rate feeds, Charge File Capture/Data Last Processed, System reconcilement, Funding, Settlement and Bank reconciliations.
  • Investigate and provide resolution for all errors, rejections, imbalances arising from the daily balancing tasks, in order to ensure no financial impact our customers.
  • Work directly with the Treasury team and/or Settlement Agent regarding any banking/settlement issues, including initiating manual payments to our customers.
  • Work directly with the Accounting Services team in relation to General Ledger balances and initiating manual corrective postings.
  • Configure and maintain Issuers, Acquirers, Merchants and Processors on the Authorization and Settlement systems, providing guidance to our clients and business partners on configuration options to best serve their requirements.
  • Provide defect and enhancement detail arising from daily processes or customer requirements, in order to automate system controls or improve customer experience, via the Agile process.
  • Maintain documentation, records and detailed procedures for the Settlement control processes.
  • Maintain User Guides on the Settlement systems for our clients and business partners. Minimum Requirements
  • Cross functional knowledge of the Payment Network Industry focusing on operations (desired).
  • 5 years Customer Service experience or equivalent.
  • Strong focus on providing superior customer service.
  • Understanding and commitment to compliance and risk management per industry standards.
  • Ability to analyze existing processes and identify ways to automate and streamline them.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with all levels of employees and management; including managing expectations, communicating issues, risks, opportunities and communication with network participants.
  • Self-motivated; demonstrated ability to work independently.
