Procurement Professional - Supply Chain
A Procurement Professional with supply chain is required to work on a six month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Telford
This is a contract role with a leading UK defence company
Key skills required for the Procurement Professional
- Experience of Supplier Relationship Management tools and techniques
- A level of category area product and process knowledge, to enable Procurement to be considered knowledge holders of supply chain knowledge.
- Knowledge of working to SAP processes, recognising the impact should these processes not be followed.
- Experience of effective Supplier Relationship Management tools and techniques
- Procurement and contract management experience, preferably in a Defence or manufacturing business.
- Ability to assess and act upon supplier issues independently, understanding when to raise issues further, and when early "local" resolution is possible.
- Willingness to travel to suppliers to participate in business reviews and be Embedded into suppliers as part of Supplier Performance improvement activity
- MCIPS Qualified
