Description

Resource 1 is in need of a Data Analyst/Business Analyst with strong documentation skills for a 6-month contract in Elkridge, MD. There is the potential for additional extensions and more responsibilities on future projects. The initial phase will be in support of the current change management efforts. Individual will leverage their MS EXCEL and MS WORD skills, while documenting the changes in the Healthcare ICD-10/ICD-9 codes from last year to this year. Individual will work with the database team and create/enhance database design documents, description fields, naming conventions, etc. Individual should have a basic understanding of relational databases, data structures and be able to write SQL queries/statements. Prior experience working with medical codes is a plus for this position, but the client will provide training in this area. Individual will ensure compliance to the organization's documentation templates and defined database standards for structure and naming conventions. Selected individual must have proven documentation skills and strong attention to detail. Individual should be expert-level in the primary skill, which is MS EXCEL, including formulas, spreadsheets, formatting, etc. Looking for a quick learner with a strong work ethic, to follow the Data Architect's lead in documenting the data/database changes. Familiarity with HL7 CDA release 2 and/or QRDA standards for EHR (Electronic Health Records) would be helpful for this position, but not required. Additionally, individual should be knowledgeable of Agile methodology and change management.
