Description
Scala Developer required with experience of the following:
- Ability to diagnose issues starting from logs, at any level of the stack - ie Infrastructure/server, network, application, DB, etc, and relate customer/end-user -level issues to the underlying systems and code
- Familiarity with Scala and/or other JVM languages and ability to reason about what application code is doing/how it is doing it.
- Should be able to debug code and be familiar with reproducing code-level production issues within a mature codebase
- Able to navigate and troubleshoot on a remote Linux box, deal with services and processes, diagnose issues from their logs
- Experience with MongoDB/no SQL DB, especially running queries using the Mongo Shell or similar
- Use of Scripting languages and running them safely. Shell (Bash) scripts in particular, as well as JS scripts with
The successful Scala Developer will ideally have some knowledge of the clients deployment tools (Ansible and Jenkins) but this isn't essential.
