Business Change Project Manager

6 Month Contract (scope for renewal)

Dublin 1

The Role:

Assist in delivering projects within their Small team of Business Change Managers.

Delivered past projects such as (Mifit 2, New Product On-boarding, client on-boarding supporting design projects).

Support function for business/stakeholder Business.

Working as part of the Change team to:

  • Design operational infrastructure solutions to meet changing client and regulatory demands.
  • Developing underlying capabilities to facilitate this.
  • Manage the Onboarding of significant new client mandates.

What this job is expected to do

Initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of projects while ensuring compliance with both group and company standards.

  • To establish structures for controlling project scope, budgets & decision making.
  • To ensure all stakeholders are clear on the project delivery commitments (scope, budget, and timeframes).
  • To maximise the probability of a successful project and full realisation of business benefits

Enabling change, by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to stakeholders. Solutions often include a software-systems development component, but may also consist of process improvement, organizational change or strategic planning and policy development.

Note: this role is more focused on overall business solutions as distinguished from Business Analysts in IS who are more focused on systems solutions.

  • To ensure that stakeholder's underlying needs are understood, rather than their stated wants.
  • To ensure that requirements are packaged, traced, managed and communicated for stakeholders and implementers.
  • To enable solutions to be defined, validated and implemented.
  • To effectively deliver on business architecture roadmap.

The Person:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive domain knowledge of Investments business & processes.
  • Advanced Project Management skills.
  • Awareness of industry standards with respect to application/business services, and reference models in the business domain.
  • Awareness of industry trends with regard to servicing of investment management clients.
  • Experience in analysis of large system/platform selections and migrations is highly desirable.
  • Skills in the field of Business/Enterprise Architecture an advantage.
  • Experience of Change Management and Test Management tools an advantage.
  • Familiar with Six Sigma process redesign or equivalent methodology an advantage
  • Investments would be nice/ideal but not 100% essential.
  • Financial Services regulation.

Experience

  • 10+ year's relevant experience (business analysis, project management, business architecture or other participation in change initiatives)
  • 5+ years experience working within the Financial Services Sector specifically with Investment Management domain knowledge.
  • Prince2 based waterfall.
  • Methodical PM approach.
  • Degree in relevant discipline
  • Focus on Business Analysis and Project Management elements within the internal specification
  • Attitude, can do, team of 5. Projects, weekly team meetings.
