Cisco Network engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cisco Network Engineer to join well established blue chip organisation based at their customer offices in Johannesburg.
As a Cisco network engineer you will have the:
-Ability to create new network designs and ensure network documents are up to date
-Should be able to do Audits on the current Network to understand the requirements for migration from Legacy to ACI.
-Responsible for new implementations in the DC like LAN expansion, Server connectivity etc.
-Responsible for troubleshooting implementations when issues may be experienced.
-Responsible for Cisco ACI configurations like creating Tenants, BD, EPG etc.
-Responsible for the migration from Legacy networks to ACI.
-Responsible for migration of Links from End of Support devices to Supported Devices.
-Would be working with different teams on New projects related to the Data centres
As a Cisco Network engineer you will have the following:
Product Knowledge required:
-Nexus 9k,7K, 5K, 3K, 2K
-Cisco 6500, 4900, 3800, 3700
-Cisco ASR 9k, 1k
Technical Knowledge required:
-Routing Protocols - BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
-Nexus VPC, VDC, Layer 2 technologies like STP/VTP
-Knowledge of Scripting to configure Cisco ACI would be an advantage.
