Technical Support Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Technical Support Engineer to join well established blue chip organisation based at their prestigious offices in Shannon.

As a Technical Support Engineer you will be responsible for analysis and troubleshooting of issues for the user population in region.
You will provide your colleagues with support on all aspects of end user computing platform service team for corporate infrastructure related issues/programs/initiatives and projects.

As a Technical Support Engineer you will:

Provide 1st/2nd Line level support for incidents that require local resolution and cannot be resolved by the service desk.

Provide hands on support for IT project implementations.

Support hardware and software installation/configuration in accordance with corporate policies.

Support PC replacement programs and emergency exchanges.

Resolve endpoint technical challenges faced by our internal customers.

As a Technical Support Engineer you will:

Have a min of 5 years MS Windows desktop operating system deployment experience.
Have a min of 5 years lanDesk/SCCM ( or other software distribution tools) .
Windows desktop operating system and apple MAC deployment and support experience.
Experience with IOS and android devices required.
Network infrastructure principles knowledge required.
Scripting with powershell and VBscript.
Security principles knowledge required.
Experience in using ITSM tools like ServiceNow would be advantageous.
