Seeking an experienced information Technology (IT) professional for the role of Red Hat Linux Systems Administrator to support large computing systems and state of the art solutions to a wide range of technical problems for the State programs and projects.

Responsibilities
The Red Hat Linux Systems Administrator for 24x7 operations will be designing, installing, configuring, securing, and maintaining operating systems for mission critical systems in support of DSS programs and projects.
Responsibilities Include
- Manage Enterprise Red Hat Linux computing infrastructure, upgrade system software as required to meet business needs.
- Install, test, upgrade and configure systems and services.
- Perform troubleshooting to isolate/diagnose common system problems, perform root cause analysis, recommend appropriate course of action.
- Troubleshooting Real Time data collection, recommend appropriate actions to improve performance, and insuring high availability.
- Maintain Linux systems in accordance with best practices and State policies and procedures.
- Maintain systems compliant with Federal security requirements.
- Utilize Footprints ticketing system for incident management or similar.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree with three (3) to five years of Linux Admin experience; Associates Degree in a technical field and five (5) years of Linux Admin experience or seven (7) years of Linux Admin experience in lieu of the degree.
- IAT Level II Certification (Security + Certification).
- Experience with managing Red Hat Linux/Enterprise Linux 5/6/7 (or CentOS/Scientific Linux/Oracle Linux) systems specifically.
- Kick start, package management, LVM2 Scripting Bash or Perl experience with VMware/KVM, Basic administration and troubleshooting: Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Group Policy, Windows DNS, and DFS.
- Experience utilizing Parallel SSH (PSSH), Red Hat Ansible and/or Puppet for deployment automation and tasks or similar.
- Experience in Linux data at rest disk encryption methods such as LUKS and Vulnerability Scanning utilizing the following tools: Nessus, Acunetix, or similar
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing ability.
