Description

One of my leading clients is looking for a Payments SME to work onsite in London for 4 months paying up to £534pd.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

* Extensive experience of working with the payments space (minimum 5 years, ideally 10 years) across operational support, development or architecture. Due to the nature of the role Architecture is preferred, but very strong candidates with experience in support or engineering will be considered.
* Understands Industry standards and have demonstrable experience of participating in relevant industry forums
* Have a comprehensive knowledge of underlying payments protocols such as PSD2, SWIFT, BACS, CHAPS, ISO20022 messaging, Faster Payments, Back Office and interbank systems.
* Have a clear view of future market trends and the potential implications for increased market access through the implementation of PSD2 and similar technologies and regulations.
* Analytical and business skills to enable complex problems to be solved, with good attention to detail
* Ability to document and write white papers on payment technology, its position in the industry and within large scale corporate and retail banking.
* Knowledge of infrastructure is desirable.
* Attention to detail, strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
* Very strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and be comfortable working with and presenting to senior client managers.
* Driving the definition and delivery of the Application Assurance across the application suite, bridging the business and technical environment, supporting the engagement manager, technical leads and technical stream analysts.
* Define the specific review activities within the payments space that need to be undertaken, in consultation with the client and internal team, taking a holistic business, process, technical and security view of the problem space.
* Provide direction to other technical team members and the client within the program.
* Analyse the outcomes of the assurance for gaps, issues and improvements using your experience within the payments space using knowledge of industry best practice and direction, regulation and risk/compliance.
* Provide oversight and guidance on immediate quick fix remediation activities, including working with internal and client security, architects, engineers and operational teams.
* Provide an overall view of maturity of the payments platform to the client based on industry best practice.
* Undertake relevant knowledge transfer activities once the engagement is complete
