Accountant- Pensions- Blackpool
I am currently recruiting for an Accountant for my Defence client based in Blackpool. This is for an initial 6-month contract with potential to extend.
Key Responsibilities:
Will report to the Assistant Head of Pensions Finance and will be responsible for managing Pensions Finance key financial and accounting outputs. Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards; Summarise current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports; Analyse business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice; Develop, maintain, and analyse budgets, preparing reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
It is key to have previous experience of managing pensions and a recognised qualification in accounting.
