iKas International are currently recruiting for a Sanctions Compliance Specialist on behalf of an industry renowned, market leading investment bank who are looking to grow out their Compliance team. Sitting within one of the banks most business critical areas, this is an opportunity for a Sanctions Compliance Specialist who is looking to develop their current skills in a reputable top tier bank.

You will be joining an ever growing team, responsible for certifying that the Sanctions function operates in compliance with Sanctions policies. You will be classifying true Name and Transaction Screening matches, Sanctions Risks and escalating any concerns to management. You will be calculating arising risk from customers/transactions and will be identifying financial crime risk indicators through numerous internal and external sources.

Skills Required:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience delivering within an investment bank with expert knowledge of Sanctions, Financial Crime and Risk Management. You will have an in-depth understanding of Compliance Policies and Standards ensuring that the Sanctions functions operate in compliance with the relevant Sanction policies.

Excellent Understanding of:

  • 1-3 years' experience of Sanctions Compliance
  • In depth knowledge if Sanctions Risk/Risk Management
  • Solid understanding of Compliance Policies and Standards
  • The ability to identify Financial Crime risk
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis
  • Strong analysis skills, the skill to resolve complex problems and posit pragmatic solutions
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a team-orientated, collaborative environment
  • Ability to lead discussions to a conclusion
