Project Manager - Transfer Agency - Contract Role - 6 months

Our client has an immediate requirement for a Project Manager to lead a number of projects to implement new transfer agency business and technology functionality.
The Project manager will work closely with the organisations Transfer Agency Steering Committee and other relevant stakeholders and will report to the Head of Project Management.
The principal responsibilities are:
- Management of projects within the Transfer Agency Program
- Development of the Project Requests and Business Case in conjunction with the Executive/Project sponsor.
- Liaising extensively with clients to establish exact requirements, agree solutions and define timeframes for project deliverables
- Coordination of stakeholders across multiple locations and time zones
- Proactive identification and management of project risks and issues, ensuring that the appropriate stakeholders are in agreement with the resolution steps
- Ensure project documentation adheres to the PMO process throughout the project life cycle
- Monitor project milestones and stage exits/quality gates
- Report project status and issues to PMO on the agreed frequency
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and implementation planning
- Work within the Project Management Office to ensure that all standard templates and processes are used
PM day-to-day responsibilities:
- Deliver the project on time, within scope and within budget
- Develop and maintain all project management documentation (Project Charter, Project Plan, RAID, Weekly Summary Reports, etc.)
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Setup and lead the steering board, provide status reviews and lead the meetings
- Liaise with operations, compliance and risk departments
- Identify and assess all risk factors and identify risk mitigation action
- Ensure quality gates are in place and achieved
- Ensure efficient communication with all relevant stakeholders
- Report and escalate to management as needed
Experience and Knowledge:
- 5+ years in a project management role
- PM certification (PMP or PRINCE2) or equivalent
- Knowledge of Transfer Agency function an advantage, including some or all of the following KYC, SWIFT transaction processing, RIVA implementation, Infrastructure Support and Cash Management.
- Strong Collaboration skills
- Understanding of IT business processes and Information Security policies and procedures,
- Strong communication skills both written and spoken with the ability to communicate effectively and translate privacy and compliance topics across a diverse sets of teams and regions,
- Strong influencing skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior management,
- A high degree of integrity and credibility,
- Fluent in English
Key Performance indicators:
- Delivery of the project on time, within scope and within budget
- Quality of project management documentation
- Good engagement with COO, TA Steering Group, PMO and Head of Project Management.
