BI Specialist
My client requires an experienced BI Specialist to join their project.
As an integral member of the delivery team, the Data Engineer/BI Specialist is responsible for the design, development, implementation and run of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes for classical BI and Big Data projects/applications. He/she will design, develop and implement ETL processes to transform structured, unstructured and disparate source data into the target data stores/data warehouses/data mart(s). Skills related to enterprise BI reporting are not mandatory, but a welcome bonus.French Seaking Mandatory.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
- Business analysis to gather required ETL system requirements
- Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to drive data store/data warehouse/data mart design and configuration
- Use ETL tools to load data store(s)/data warehouse(s)/data mart(s).
- Proactive knowledge transfer to take over support for a list of ETL processes.
- Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of enterprise data and BI environments for internal users
- Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented for his/her sphere of influence
- Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members
- Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes for his/her sphere of influence
