Procurement Buyer - Edinburgh - 8 months

Experienced Procurement Buyer required for an initial 8 month contract based in Edinburgh.

Key responsibilities will include -

Contracting for and Purchase of Goods and Services

  • Issuing Invitation to Quotes/Invitation to Tenders (generally for value
  • Responsible for mini-competition exercises through existing/collaborative frameworks
  • Liaising with internal customers and stakeholders regarding requirements for the contract
  • Sourcing of suppliers, where required
  • Ensure compliance with Government Accounting and Public Sector Procurement legislation
  • Preparing appropriate procurement contracts

Monitoring Contracts

  • Monitoring/reviewing the performance of existing suppliers
  • Provision of support and advice to internal customers and stakeholders

Other Accountabilities

  • Assisting in E-procurement solutions
  • Providing relevant assistance and support to projects within the organisation
  • Supporting senior colleagues in Procurement in the ongoing development and implementation of E-procurement systems and procedures
  • Promoting sustainable procurement practices and procedures throughout the organisation
