Description

A Top Tier Investment Bank are recruiting for a Technical Author to join their Global Risk Analytics Function to work with their existing Modelling Team to write and edit their Model Documentation across Wholesale Credit and Market risk models.

The Technical Author will be responsible for the below:

  • Managing and executing the delivery of model documentation telling the models story in an understandable and consistent way to meet Senior Management and 3rd party expectations.
  • Production of high quality, comprehensive, consistent and coherent model documentation in support of regulatory submission and approval.
  • Acting as a Technical Authoring expert, NOT a Quantitative Analyst/Developer, across Wholesale Credit and Traded Risk model risk landscape.
  • Drawing the requisite information from model developers/owners and translating complex methodologies into high quality easily digestible documentation.
  • Management of an iterative documentation review, challenge and approval process across multiple model documentation initiatives simultaneously.

The Technical Author will need the following experience:

  • Good understanding of quantitative modelling methodologies and best practice techniques
  • Demonstrable ability to translate complex modelling techniques into high quality, coherent documentation appropriate for a diverse technical/non-technical audience
  • Strong quantitative modelling background
  • Ideally (5+ years) Wholesale Credit/Traded Risk technical documentation authoring experience
  • Strong stakeholder management.

This is a long term contracting position, and the hiring manager is looking to conduct the initial round of interviews ASAP.
