Job Title - Electrical Design & Build Engineer
Job Location - Dublin, Ireland
Job Role:
- The Electrical Design & Build Engineer will support the Site Solution Design & Installation team within Customer Projects. The Electrical Design & Build Engineer must have good knowledge of power supply systems, climate control system and electrical regulations and installation experience with other products supplied eg microwave link systems, SDH equipment and other OEM site equipment eg antenna systems.
- The Electrical Design & Build Engineer is required to have installation knowledge and be familiar with the specifications of the Electro-Technical Council of Ireland (ETCI) and Customer Site Design Guidelines used for installation of vendor products in a network environment.
- The Electrical Design & Build Engineer must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision
Responsibilities:
- Design in relation to highlighted power and climate issues at design stage - ensure that proper power solution and correct design is implemented in design documents.
- Build in relation to highlighted power related issues at build stage - ensure that site is built to comply with ESB, ETCI regulations, and customer guidelines.
- Review of Site Survey Reports, Proposed Nominal Design and Detail Design Drawings from power perspective and refer issues back to the client or its SP(s). Power dimensioning.
- Documentation: Electrical Infrastructure Design and Build Principles, Installation guides, Method of Procedures, Design Decision Trees, Hardware and Design Specifications, Electrical Health and Safety Guidelines and Alerts
- Interface with the client and Customer in relation to site solutions and power design issues proposed and approve solutions that do not comply with Customer Site Design Guidelines.
- Interface between Site Acceptance Team for implemented site solutions.
- Project Management: Tracking design and build milestones in alignment with overall build programme, database control, reporting internally and externally
Experience
- Qualified Electrical Engineer or Electrician with relevant design and installation experience;
- Proficient in written and spoken English as a business language.
- Able to communicate effectively with all interfaces.
- Proficient in using MS Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint and project planning software packages.
- Proficient in using the Site Handler database, entering data, setting-up and generating reports
