Vivid Resourcing are currently recruiting for a 12 month contract position within the quality team of a casting plant that produce automotive and aerospace parts their clients.
The Quality Engineer will be an integral part of ensuring the Company complies with customer requirements and continually improves.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Dealing with internal non-conformances.
- Running root cause analysis investigations for severe non-conformances and customer complaints.
- Facilitating the Company internal audit schedule.
- Maintaining management system documentation eg Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Identifying trends in quality performance and acting on areas of concern.
- Producing key quality information for communication and review within the Company.
- Assisting in external audits to maintain our external accreditations.
- Carrying out technical projects to improve products and processes.
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
- Experience in a similar role, preferably within a process metallurgy environment.
- Understanding of the ISO 9001.
- Experience of leading and managing teams is advantageous.
- Cross functional auditing.
- Root cause analysis tools including DMAIC, FMEA, 8D etc.
- Working with management systems
- IT literacy (eg databases, full Microsoft Office package).
