Big Data Developer Contract Dublin 6-18 Months.

My client a leading global name is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Big data developer to join them on a contract basis.

My clients Dublin Credit Risk Technology team is part of an international development group responsible for some of the most significant projects in their organisation. We work directly with our internal Business Partners to build and enhance reporting platforms critical to the Bank's control functions and to its decision making. We work in agile fashion and are organised flexibly. We always strive to improve our processes. We want to continuously learn new approaches and technologies to help us be better. You will be building shared components and infrastructure to radically restructure and simplify our ETL processes. You will be piloting new concepts and methodologies,maturing abstract and open ended business and technical requirements into deliverables and supporting and mentoring teams of developers in adoption of shared components and new methodologies.

Successful candidates will be proficient in one of Scala, Java or Python, You will be Proficient in one of Hive, Impala, Oozie or Sqoop. You will be proficient in Apache Spark. Candidates will have experience with Continuous integration/continuous deployment experience with Git/Jenkins/Maven etc. Experience of Machine Learning desirable but not essential.
