Description
This position is suited to someone looking for a fast-paced and demanding environment, who can design robust end-to-end solutions for multiple tactical and strategic projects within the Data domain.
The successful candidate will be delivery focussed and experienced working in an Agile environment with Scrum teams or Squads.
You will form part of a successful Architecture practice as a Data lead on high-profile initiatives with stakeholders across multiple functions and domains.
Key requirements
- Experience in retail, consumer lending and/or consumer banking would be preferred
- Experience in a lead role, with Matrix responsibility for other Data or Solutions Architects
- A track record as Data Architect/Data Solutions Architect operating, with experience in areas like:
- Datamodelling/Database Design
- Data Governance and Management
- Big Data & Associated Technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark etc)
- Data Tools - ETL/CDC (ODI, Goldengate etc)
- Data Warehousing
- Analytics and BI tools (OBIEE/SAS)
- Emerging technologies in the Data Space
- The ability to manage stakeholders across business and IT as an internal consultant - upholding the excellent reputation of the Solutions/Data Architecture team
- Commercially aware - clear understanding of how Architecture fits the group strategy, and an ability to talk about clear business benefits
- Capable of managing a demanding workload, prioritising and delivering results
- Able to work effectively with 3rd party suppliers and negotiate SLAs and commercial agreements
