Description

Title: Network Specialist/Server Specialist/Server Admin/Network Admin/Server & Network Engineer

Duration: 6-12 Months

Location: Aldershot/London

Rate: GBP Per Day but negotiable

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Network/Server hardware knowledge to be hands on site for repair, support, onsite intervention and troubleshooting
  • Manage administrative tasks like user management through network management tools, managing Proxy Servers, support Virtualized Networking, support network load balancer setup
  • General technical troubleshooting and giving technical expert consultation to SITA Client teams
  • Setup and maintain documentation and standards including providing consulting expertise on detailed Installation Instructions and Managed Service Guides
  • For complex issues work with the vendors/3rd party providers to ensure issues are fixed in a time-bound manner
  • Knowledge of operating systems Windows, Linux.
  • Knowledge of IP management, network protocol, Firewall management
  • Knowledge of Network security management
  • Network tracing and network traffic management
  • Any GUI tool for network status and traffic management reporting tool
  • Knowledge of various Servers such as NTP, DNS, DHCP, Samba etc
  • Understanding of network security, including SEIM and intrusion detection
  • Knowledge of virtualization tool like VMware, vSphere
  • Ability to reverse engineer complex Legacy network infrastructures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree or equivalent
