Job duties:
- Work in various job functions in the Deposit Operations Department, including but not limited to ACH origination/returns, inclearing, and return deposit items.
- Balance daily in-process general ledger accounts
- Perform formal monthly reconciliation for department GL's in Excel format
- Research and resolve any outages from GL reconciliations
- Process Government reclamations
- Investigate and resolve inquiries from internal and external customers
- Handle check related exception items (encoding errors, twice paid items, etc.)
- Perform testing for core system releases (Miser)
- Update and create department procedures
- Participate in department projects relating to process improvements
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years' experience working in a financial institution with knowledge of Deposit Operations, NACHA rules and Error Resolution (Regulation E).
- Basic knowledge of processing ACH exceptions
- Excellent analytical, bookkeeping and balancing skills and the ability to research and resolve outages in a timely manner.
- Good communication skills; verbal and written.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to prioritize daily work to meet deadlines and goals.
- Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions within bank guidelines and department procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and effectively in a team environment.
