Job duties:

    • Work in various job functions in the Deposit Operations Department, including but not limited to ACH origination/returns, inclearing, and return deposit items.
    • Balance daily in-process general ledger accounts
    • Perform formal monthly reconciliation for department GL's in Excel format
    • Research and resolve any outages from GL reconciliations
    • Process Government reclamations
    • Investigate and resolve inquiries from internal and external customers
    • Handle check related exception items (encoding errors, twice paid items, etc.)
    • Perform testing for core system releases (Miser)
    • Update and create department procedures
    • Participate in department projects relating to process improvements

Requirements:

    • Minimum of two years' experience working in a financial institution with knowledge of Deposit Operations, NACHA rules and Error Resolution (Regulation E).
    • Basic knowledge of processing ACH exceptions
    • Excellent analytical, bookkeeping and balancing skills and the ability to research and resolve outages in a timely manner.
    • Good communication skills; verbal and written.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Ability to prioritize daily work to meet deadlines and goals.
    • Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions within bank guidelines and department procedures.
    • Ability to work under pressure and effectively in a team environment.
