Description
Our client has an excellent opportunity for a technical and/or analytical support to clients in identifying, analysing, and resolving problems of moderate to highly complex business communication systems. Self-directed, making major contributions to teams, and contributes significantly to client satisfaction. Recognized as a subject matter expert and capable of diagnosing and evaluating complex issues. Work is performed with minimal direction and reviewed by senior management, providing solutions to a diverse range of complex problems.
Required skills:
- A minimum of three years industry experience in Linux and/or Windows systems administration and/or security hardening.
- Proven qualification in an operating system or security field - Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Familiarity with the Linux command line and a capability to write basic scripts - BASH, Perl, Python, etc.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and system management tools - Registry Editor, Event Viewer, Services controller, etc.
- Good Communication Skills - an ability to produce custom documentation for the clients customers that will include creating hardening reports and detailing on-going security management processes.
- Familiarity with below listed skills will be additional advantage:
- Security processes - an understanding of how CVE (Common Vulnerabilities Environment) and CVSS risk scoring works
- Penetration testing - what a penetration test is, using penetration testing tools like Tenable Nessus or Qualys, port scanning, etc.
- Security compliance - how to interpret security specifications like CIS or NIST and translate them into hardening plans for deployment on product platforms.
- Risk Management - a high level understanding of risk management so as to be able to consult with customer security teams and Risk Management.
- High-Level Familiarity with TCP/IP and networking - concepts of Switches, Routers, IP Networks, subnets, VLANs, etc.
- Good Communication Skills - an ability to produce custom documentation for customers that will include creating hardening reports and detailing on-going security management processes.
- Good knowledge (spoken and written) of English
- Knowledge of German language would be an advantage

- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
