Our client is seeking a Business Analyst

JOB PURPOSE:

The Business Analyst will work with the ServiceNow project team to onboard various service teams into the ServiceNow Platform at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). The Business Analyst will be responsible for capturing as-is and to-be processes from the service teams, assisting in converting business process requirements into agile user stories to be consumed by the ServiceNow developers, and ensuring processes are consistent with the Service Management concepts of Incident Management, Request Management and Knowledge Management.

IMPACT & INFLUENCE:

This position will interact on a consistent basis with: service owners, service team members, project team members, ServiceNow Developers, and the ServiceNow platform team. This position typically will advise and counsel: project management, platform management, service management. This position will supervise: N/A (may provide work guidance).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Document and analyze more complex user business processes and requirements; identify solutions including modification of business process to align with the Service Management concepts of Incident Management, Request Management and Knowledge Management.
  • Identify business requirements and convert to agile user stories for developers.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for user stories.
  • Provide communications link between user and technical group.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Years of experience: 5+ years of experience analyzing complex business processes.

Certifications or licenses preferred: ITIL Foundations strongly preferred

Specialized skills:

Experience with ServiceNow deployments is highly valuable, and strongly preferred for this position.

Experience working with an Agile development team is required.

Must have excellent organizational and time management skills; advanced skills in data organization and analysis, problem solving, systems documentation and report writing as applied within assigned system(s); skills in functional leadership and cross communication between functional user and technical groups; exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor communication to different audiences; effective analytical and presentation skills; excellent organizational, time management skills, and professionalism; self-motivated and able to work independently.
