Description
Consultant/Delivery Engineer with a demonstrable track record in delivering
Enterprise and/or Telco grade Cisco UC solutions. The role requires strong technical skills with significant hands-on implementation, configuration and transformation experience in: UC, IPT, VoIP, IM and Presence, voice gateways, SIP/TDM trunkingand Clients.
The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong background (3+ years) in, and hands on implementation, configuration and delivery of, Cisco UC solutions using:
- Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
- Cloud Collaboration
- Unity & Unity Connection
- Expressway
- Unified Border Element (CUBE)
In addition, experience in Cisco contact centre technologies would be an advantage,including:
- Unified Contact Centre Express (UCCX)
- Unified Contact Centre Enterprise (UCCE)
Manufacturer accreditations are also desirable, in particular Cisco Collaboration:
- Ideally CCIE,
- Mandatory - CCNP, CCNA
This role would suit someone experienced in detailed hands on technical delivery of Cisco CUCM and associated technologies.
The candidate will be proactive when dealing with customer issues, a flexible attitude and ability to perform under pressure, and strong communication skills.
Functional Responsibilities:
Configuration, implementation, operation and optimisation of Cisco UC technologies.
This will include remote or on-site:
- Migration planning, risk assessments, impact analysis
- Implementation, configuration, testing and transformation
- Pre and post deployment support
- Detailed troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Test plan development
- Creation and development of documentation, including detailed technical documentation.
- Assess customer requirements for voice technology initiatives and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Assist with UC disaster recovery planning and testing for telecommunications including data and system backup and restore functions.
- Help to provide a high quality, high availability computing and telephony/UC environment.
- Maintain knowledge of existing and new Cisco UC products and technologies.
- Providing technical delivery expertise to internal project teams and customers.
- Sharing knowledge and experience through formal and informal knowledge transfer
Required:
- Five (3) years of increased delivery and transformation responsibility in an IPT/Cisco UC environment.
- Demonstrable experience in implementing, transforming, troubleshooting, testing and supporting Cisco UC technologies including: IPT, VoIP, IM and Presence, Clients, voice gateways, SIP/TDM trunking.
- Demonstrable expertise and experience in delivering Cisco UC products and adjunct applications
- Experience in delivering SIP solutions using Cisco CUBE Clients, integration gateways and applications
- Experience in implementing and supporting other voice technologies including contact centre, IVR, call recording, CTI technologies
- Experience in Legacy telephony (PSTN, TDM, PRI, Key Systems, TDM PBX and C7)
- Large enterprise, high availability delivery skills
- Candidates should have hands on delivery experience of Cisco UC products gained through genuine involvement in the and implementation of Cisco Unified
- Communication Manager solutions on large scale, complex, multi-technology projects for enterprise customers.
- The successful candidates will be able to express themselves well in writing, and be able to engage effectively with a wide variety of individuals, both within a project team, and with the customer.
- Candidates should demonstrate a proven willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues. Experience of project management tools and methodologies is desirable and candidates should demonstrate an ability to be self-driven and organised.
