Electrical Instrumentation Engineer
This is a tremendous opportunity to work for engineering teams that install, maintain and service UK-wide, (and occasionally overseas) observational networks.
Your job will be to use your electronic, electrical and mechanical skills to install or provide field support of observing systems. It will provide you with a great chance to be involved with cutting-edge technology. Installations take place across the UK and occasionally overseas. You will also be part of team that has responsibility for ensuring the company's systems continue to supply the high-quality data required to produce their products and services.
The role will involve the following:
Develop work plans, including identification of improvements to systems, capabilities and/or processes.
Use existing and emerging engineering practice to drive the delivery of the work plans
Contribute to the generation and presentation of documentation and reports internally and externally in order to meet the needs of customers
Working a team where necessary to get the required work done
You will need the following attributes to be considered for this role:
A NVQ Level 4 or higher in engineering, electrical or electronic environment or equivalent qualification and/or experience.
Possess a valid driving licence and be prepared to drive company vehicles when required
Able to demonstrate theoretical and practical knowledge of all aspects of the maintenance and repair of electronic and/or electrical instrumentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Any mechanical engineering experience would be a bonus
