Quality Assurance Manager

What you will do
As the Quality Assurance Manager you will be working under framework of Johnson Controls Global Quality to ensure that continuous improvement in quality is made throughout Design, Sourcing and Assembly, you will also function as the primary point of contact for the Operation in responding to critical customer issues, ensure that the plant has an effective implemented World Class Quality System and are certified/compliant with quality, QS-9000 and PED and drive continuous improvement. Supplier Development and Quality performance.

How you will do it
You will be responsible for the development of Manufacturing Quality resource budgets staffing needs, participate in the interview process and add resources as needed, ensuring that the Quality team in the plant has the necessary skill levels and technical competence to execute their roles, by development and execution of Individual Development Plans and Performance Reviews for each Quality Engineer that is part or their team, ensuring that customer and internally identified quality issues are resolved using the Johnson Controls problem solving methods (8D Report, Problem Solving Document "PSD", Kepner-Tregoe, etc), assessing and approve post Supplier PAPSOs and provide the appropriate technical support to help a supplier resolve a critical issue, assure that all Quality activities are performed according ISO 9000 standards and specific customer requirements, prepares and delivers clear performance expectations, performance reviews and development plans for direct reports teaming with the appropriate Matrix functional manager, communication with third party auditors and the Plant compliance to their standards and working with Customer Services to resolve the issues to satisfy the needs of the business.

What we look for

[Required Qualifications - Education, Skills & Experience]
*Bachelor's degree is required in Manufacturing or equivalent related qualification.
*Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in Quality, with the last 2 years in a Manufacturing Leadership role (preferably as Quality Manager).

[Preferred Qualifications - Education, Skills & Experience]
*Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt (Operational Excellence)
*Specific education and training in Quality disciplines including (minimum) QS9000, continuous improvement, Total Quality Management; PPAP, FMEA, Control plans, DOE and SPC
