DB2 DBA
DB2 DBA urgently needed for a long term contract in Stockholm Sweden
Skills required:
- Experienced in working with large tablespaces, processing and maintenance of partitioned tablespaces,NPI's and DPSI's
- Assisted developers in database and application tuning for optimal performance
- Work closely with applications developers in reviewing the access paths of programs when there happens any change to the program SQLs or data size of the corresponding tables
- Work with developers in implementing Table space, Table, Index and various objects in lower environment till deployment into production.
- Review and provide recommendations for developers incorporating DB2 batch utilities
- Conduct regular meeting with developers to fine tune applications
- Audit the Authorization and privileges for DB2 access for developers and other users
- Work closely with developers on application SQL code with DB2 Explain prior to production implementation
- Check the DB2 diagnostic logs and notification logs and communicate to teams
- Regular Backup and Recovery Activities
- Root-cause analysis of DB2 Production issues and providing permanent fixes
- Analyze DB2 objects during version migration and coordinate with developers on object conversion and REBIND's when required
- Work closely with developers in designing new DB2 objects
Tools and Technologies
- IBM DB2 Connect, Platinum, Abendaid, IBM DB2admin
- Knowledge of Cobol will be a Plus
- Experience in DevOps model of working will be an added advantage
