Description

  • Accounts Receivable Support (Sales Ledger Assistant) who is AAT Part -Qualified or QBE is required for an immediate start in Chiswick, London W4. The role will be working within a great team for an FMCG. Therefore, experience of working for a small to medium sized FMCG will be very beneficial. The main duties of the role will be to Provide support to the Sales & management finance teams as required whilst maintaining the day - to day running of the customer ledger under the supervision of the SL manager.

Main responsibilities:

  • Apply & maintain customer discounts: ensure that the sales reps have calculated the effect on customer/company profitability and various factors including risk of double discounts. This is price sensitive, confidential information and there is no margin for error as application of wrong discounts will have a direct effect on company profits.
  • Calculation of backdated credit notes due to customers
  • Management of reciprocal cloaking (porterage) deals for National Brewers, MPGs & Leased Groups. This involves customers ordering from us at agreed prices but with delivery from another party who then charge us at a different rate. This is a sensitive area and care must be taken to ensure that both parties are not aware of each other's pricing structure.
  • Day to day running of the Sales Ledger including raising customer invoices and issue of weekly/monthly sales reports to senior managers
  • Customer loans maintenance including recharges and calculation/application of barrelage values used to reduce the loan on a monthly basis.
  • Preparation, reconciliation and analysis of various balance sheet accounts, journals & accruals including recharges of gifts and samples and staff accounts
