Description

Following a restructure, an opening is now available at an Aerospace client based in Derbyshire. Vivid Resourcing are aiding in the recruitment of a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team for a 3 - 6 month contract, aiding with New Product Introduction, PPAP and APQP activities.

The client are reknowned for supplying precision products for demanding applications such as aero gas turbines, aircraft structures and land-based turbines. They offer advanced manufacturing and engineering expertise for a wide variety of metal alloy parts and assemblies found in commercial and military aircraft.

The right Manufacturing Engineer for the contract will have experience working with/alongside the following areas

  • Hot and cold press forming: die quenching, stretch forming, blanking and deep drawing
  • High- and low- temperature heat treatment utilizing air furnaces
  • Quality assurance: x-ray, dye penetrant inspection, CMM inspection and FAI
  • Fusion resistance welding
  • Hot and cold acid descaling: painting, priming, and stoving
  • Sheet metal manipulation
  • Working within AS 9100 REV C requirements
  • Understanding of NADCAP

The main aid provided will be within NPI, APQP and PPAP tasks.
