Description
We are working with a large consultancy client and they are looking for 2-3 Senior Testers to come on board and work on large projects in Letterkenny, Ireland for the next 6-9 Months.
The Senior Testers will be part of an existing team at the client site.
Purpose:
To ensure our software is verified against the criteria set out in the functional requirements by defining and executing tests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creates high level test scenarios.
- Executes test scenarios.
- Records and analyses actions and results, and maintains a defect register.
- Reviews test results and modifies tests if necessary.
- Reports on progress to stakeholders.
Required Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Web Development, Java and C# or Other Object Orientated Programming languages
- Create, maintain & enhance tests.
- Maintain, execute and address issues with tests.
- Interpret test report to identify issues with the application/automated scripts.
- Improve and expand end to end automation test coverage.
- Experience with Test Management tools like HP ALM, Jira etc.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrate effective communication processes meeting demands of both Test and program/project requirements.
- Ensure that knowledge is kept up-to-date with all relevant updates/releases to products.
- Demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of testing market.
- Knowledge of CMMi/TMMi useful.
- Use appropriate tools for change control, risks and issues
- Provide focused, accurate and exact data analysis.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of object-oriented development approaches.
- Develop and maintain documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- ISTQB Certification.
- Principles of Agile.
- Strong verbal/written English

Education and Professional Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar.
