Description

Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Campinas, Brazil
Rate: $20/$25 per hour
Duration: 6 months + Possible Extension
Start: ASAP

Essential Responsibilities:
*Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing advanced manufacturing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.
*Work with manufacturing leadership to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment, material availability in the right position and product design.
*Monitor and improve productivity using Lean Six Sigma or related tools, while ensuring all customer commitments are timely and cost-conscious and met with quality.
*Ensure early focus on manufacturability in NPI and/or Advanced Technology programs.
*Drive rigor in process capability assessment, process layout, tooling and equipment development and QMS.
*TOW - Design Transfer execution
*Drive the development of manufacturing process technology roadmap.
*Support AME initiatives with wide business impact and ensure to share best practices across the Global Supply Chain.
*Ensure regulatory compliance through Qualification & Validation.
*Responsible for ensuring rigor in determining processes requiring validation, development of plans and analysis criteria, execution and final analysis and acceptance.
*Drive continuous simplification of QMS methods and their applications by working with cross-functional team including Operations and Quality Assurance.
*Work with the facilities and maintenance team to implement change and ensure the required product capacity is in place before it is required by customer demand.
*Define, Develop and execute all items associated with the introduction of new product into our portfolio, this includes but not limited to, the Industrialization plan, including layout planning and execution, Equipment Specifications and amount, Equipment sourcing and procuring, Process development and implementation, Resource planning, Materials and Logistics planning to support the ramp plan and full production, and Quality metrics and driving a robust DPU reduction plan.
*Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.
*Work with Production Associates to resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design.
*Participate in new product introductions through process layout, tool development, and new equipment.
*Develop new process and Workstation designs to reduce cycle time and support the lean manufacturing initiative.
*Monitor and improve productivity, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality and cost-conscious manner

Qualifications/Requirements:
*Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering or related technical degree and 3 years' experience
*Welding Specialization: Post Graduated, MBA or equivalence.
*Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical and planning skills
Ability to work independently.
*Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal) to all levels of the organization.
*Ability to identify and implement Best Practices
*Good analytical and planning skills
*Knowledge in the following welding processes: MGAW, FCAW (MIG-MAG), GTAW (TIG), SAW, RSW, SMAW, OFW.

Desired Characteristics:
*7+ years industrial experience in Manufacturing Engineering
*6-sigma DMAIC & DFSS certified
*Experiences in Process Intensive manufacturing
*Product and Process Development experience
*Solid working knowledge of QMS procedures
*Experienced developing tools and templates
*Demonstrated program or project management skills
*Demonstrated experience owning production processes/growing capability in yield and quality
*Experience working with global teams
*Demonstrated ability to identify & implement best practices.
*Demonstrated ability to perform with high levels of ambiguity
*Previous Project Experience
*Knowledge of materials systems and methodology
