Job Title: Oracle Database Optimization Engineer/Developer

Job Description Summary:
Client has an existing datawarehouse and what they are seeking is an advance Oracle Developer with some basic DBA skills. They need to be able to go in identify and optimize code within the existing datawarehouse. They will be selectively tuning code. This is not net new development. More so actual code and spot fixes. They will be observing chunk of code and optimize It to run fast/work better.
This position is for a Database Optimization Engineer to support the implementation of continued capacity improvements to the WIDE warehouse as identified by the Stability taskforce.
This role will:
- Analyze and identify opportunities to tune code within a large Oracle Reporting/BI Environment
- Develop, validate and implement database code improvements
- Consult with teams on database code tuning and problem resolution
Experience:
- Advanced experience with code design, tuning and working in an Exadata environment
- Experience with Oracle 12 and newer
- Advanced SQL Tuning and optimization experience
- Advanced SQL/PL*SQL knowledge
- Knowledgeable of basic Oracle Database Administration activities on large multi-Terabyte and highly critical environments
- General Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence knowledge a plus
- Oracle OBIEE experience a plus
