Communications Consultant

Our client are a large local government organisation and are looking for an experienced Communications Consultant to join their team. This is initially a 6 month contract which may be extended for the right candidate. Our client is looking for someone who can come on board and plan and provide strategic communications advice and delivery to support the successful delivery of a mission critical programme and ensure stakeholders and staff are effectively communicated, consulted and motivated.

The successful applicant will lead and manage all regeneration communications including development and implementation of the communications strategy and delivery plan and manage key digital channels to ensure they are effective at engaging with key audiences. You will also ensure the effective co-ordination of the production of events, publications and other materials to promote the clients plans and delivery. You will work with the Media and Reputation Manager to ensure involvement in key decisions and promote their work through proactive and reactive media and internal channels.

To be considered for this role you will be an experienced Comms professional ideally with experience of working within a public sector organisation. You will also have experience of developing communication campaigns.
