Description
A global Chemical client of mine is currently looking for a Process Engineer to join them at their site near Barcelona on a contract basis for 24 months.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review of Process & Instrumentation Diagrams
- Process Lead on HAZOP, participation on SIL studies
- Definition/review of Process Control Philosophy
- Review of Control Functional Diagrams (assemblies and sequences)
- Review of Alarms and Interlocks lists
- Meeting with Vendors for bid clarification, technical evaluation of bids
- Factory and/or Site acceptance tests of DCS systems
- Definition of commissioning activities and planning
- Support for pre-commissioning & commissioning activities including systems/sectors hand-over (punch lists)
Minimum Requirements:
- More than 5 years of experience as Process Engineer in Chemical plants - Specificall with Chlor-Alkali
- Proven experience as Process Engineer in large-scale projects (> 40 MEUR)
- Knowledge of safety design guidelines in Chlor-Alkali plants; proven experience in the participation of HAZOP and SIL studies
- Experience with the implementation of DCS and SIS systems, from the definition of the Functional Diagrams to the Factory and Site acceptance tests
- Experience in the planning and execution of commissioning activities
- Fluency in English
- Spanish speaking also beneficial but not essential
- Good teamwork capability
