Description
Senior SD-Wan SME required to work at customers Network Operations Center (NOC) in Budapest Hungary. An Engineer with a data center background you will be involved in high-touch technical consulting roles with the customer, demonstrating deep technical capability in SD-Wan technologies, together with the ability to fully understand all aspects of a customer's technical and business environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analysis of complex network designs and diagnosis of networking problems.
- Act as the technical specialist in SD-Wan and lead for complex customer environments.
- Strong business acumen, including the ability to fully understand customer's overall technical and business needs.
- Ability to communicate with different customer instances including also different management levels.
- Good collaboration with the service delivery team for customer
Minimum Qualifications
- Typically requires BS, CS, University degree or equivalent plus 5+ years experience in network engineering or telecommunications support environment.
- Good knowledge of SD-Wan Cisco product lines, supported technology and networking solutions.
- SD-Wan, SD-A, DNA-C
- Cisco Viptela and ENCS
- Broad technical knowledge of IP Networking, data center solutions and virtualization concepts.
- Expert level knowledge in the following and strong knowledge in all other areas of: NCS5500, Core Routing, MPLS, MPLS-TE, L2VPN, L3VPN, QOS, IP Routing protocols (ISIS, OSPF, BGP), IP internetworking, IOS and IOS-XR
- Scripting (Shell, bash, python ).
- Knowledgeable of Advanced Services Program model deliverables and expectations. Be able to articulate value-add to Customer
- Leading edge technology design assistance for primary accounts.
- Cross-functional contribution and impact with development engineering on product development and serviceability design.
- Excellent consulting and communication skills
- CCIE level skills for Routing & Switching and Datacenter technologies are required, CCIE-certification is desired and preferred.
- Senior client-facing skills to include cross-functional influence, external and internal consulting/partnering.
- Engineer must participate in 24 by 7 on-call duty every 3 or 4 weeks alternating with other Cisco engineers, including the ability to reach customer's site within two hours after being alerted.
