Description
Harvey Nash's public sector client is currently looking for a Senior Portfolio Specialist to join their Glasgow or Edinburgh based team for an initial 3 month period. You will lead and support the development, planning and implementation of procurement commodity strategies; driving value for money improvement through the provision of market and project analysis and support for the procurement processes.
Essential Skills
- Solid knowledge and understanding of the full end-to-end strategic procurement process, including sourcing and tendering, supplier management and negotiation.
- Good numerical and situational analysis skills.
- Good interpersonal & stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence at many levels both internally and externally.
- Proven track record in the delivery of procurement projects and programmes.
- Experienced at operating within complex stakeholder environments with demonstrated procurement credibility.
- Demonstrated ability in the compilation, negotiation and ongoing management of contracts
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
This is an initial 3 month contract on offer, with likelihood of extensions thereafter. Interviews are available at short notice and start date to follow ASAP after.
