SOLUTION ARCHITECT
Our day-to-day business is reinventing the way customers interact with our bank. Around 2.5 million customers in the Netherlands use our mobile banking services. A large number of them rely on our Banking App daily. The app is a stepping stone towards creating a personalised environment that revolves around the customer on a multitude of devices. In the near future, online banking on our website will also be incorporated into this responsive platform to become a new, integrated customer portal.

Description - role:
For Online Channels, we are looking for a Solution Architect. You'll be working with several DevOps teams simultaneously - both on-site and off-shore in India - to help them realize new functionality as feature teams.
The goal of each team is to deliver its features as fast as possible, while still producing code that has high quality by being maintainable, robust, performant and secure. Online Channels and the features are released for mobile, tablet, wearables and browsers. With approximately 4 million users, our platform is available 24/7 and has high performance and availability standards.
As a Solution Architect you bring your extensive knowledge and experience to the table. If needed you get your hands dirty and lead by example. You perform code reviews and educate the teams in improving their skills. You have excellent communication skills. You can approach everyone on their own level, whether they are highly technical people like developers, performance engineers or security testers, or whether they are more focused on functionality, like business analysts, product owners, product managers and delivery managers.
You'll be part of a team of like-minded Solution Architects. This team protects and extends the overall architecture of our IT systems.
Key Qualifications - soft and hard skills:
- Experience with Hybrid app development; Java (Spring), JavaScript (AngularJS)
- Experience with automation; build pipelines, testing, deployments.
- Being able to support several teams by educating them and helping them make choices.
- Good communication skills and expectation management: there are many stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of architectural principles and how these support developers to build upon the platform,
- Experience as a team lead and/or software architect
- Experience with Agile methodologies
Education:
- A finished BSc or MSc degree (preferably Computer Science related).
- Fluent English is a must.
