Excellent opportunity for an engineer to assist with various capital projects within the 5 Boroughs of NY.
Description of Work:
Perform inspection of electrical installation working under general supervision.
Ensure quality and adherence to applicable standards and specifications with emphasis on quality and safety.
Assisting with field inspections, evaluating change order proposals, reviewing contractor submittals and preparing reports as instructed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Will support program area in any project management activities assigned. These duties include but are not limited to preparing updated drawings and participating in field surveys and construction inspections.
Hours of Work:
8:30 to 5:00 (nights & weekend work as required)
Technical or Administrative functions:
60% technical/40% administrative support Field or Office locations within the 5 Boroughs of NY: Field 70%/Office 30%
Qualifications Requirements:
Minimum a Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering
Experience Requirements:
One-year experience in electrical engineering with Bachelor's OR Master's Degree with no experience but prefer some internships.
Special Skills/Training Requirements:
Experience with electrical installation.
Ability to monitor several types of project activity simultaneously.
Ability to work independently under general supervision.
Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Word, Access and Excel.
