JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose of Role

SAR Insight & Consulting is looking for a highly motivated graduate to come on board as a Market Analyst working in the audio technology field.

Starting as part of the audio technology team the candidate will have lots of opportunity to take on new tasks and advance rapidly through the small but rapidly growing company, hopefully taking responsibility for and building their own team within the first 2 to 3 years.

Duties and Responsibilities

The work involves:

  • Internet and telephone based research, gathering information on various technology markets
  • Building insight in a chosen area and becoming a thought leader
  • Creation of knowledge based models and forecasts
  • Writing of detailed and accurate reports
  • International travel
  • Excellent customer service, working closely with clients to provide meaningful and timely analysis and support.
  • Defining research subjects
  • Managing schedules
  • Achieving financial targets

This position can be located in the SAR Exeter, UK office. Flexible working hours are available.

You will report direct to the company director.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Attainments/Qualifications

Ideally the candidate will have a technical degree with a strong interest and knowledge of the audio technology and or electronics markets.

Skills and Understanding

The role requires a candidate that is a self-starter, one that is capable of taking on significant responsibility from the start, being able to work comfortably on their own and as part of a growing team. You must be able to work with and build relationships with people at all levels of the company and client companies.

Excel experience is essential.

The ability to write fluently in English is also essential.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate time keeping and report writing skills through, for example, their final year project.

Other Requirements

Graduate of a UK university within the last 3 years/Student at the University of Exeter

Right to work in the UK for the duration of the internship
