Description
We are looking for an Oracle database administrator with experience in Oracle 11g and SQL Server databases. The person should be driven, self-motivated and able to request necessary access rights and tools installation.
The following experience would be a prerequisite for the role:
- Oracle 11g Forms and Reports
- Oracle 11g database Servers (backup & restore, security)
- MS SQL Server 2016 (backup & store, security)
- Oracle Business Intelligence 11g
- Oracle Data Guard 11g
- Oracle Data Warehouse
- Red Hat Linux (or similar)
The role will primarily entail the following activities:
- Identify existing Oracle 11G and SQL Server databases in use
- Migrate all Oracle 11G databases to new environment (backup & restore)
- Migrate all MS SQL Server databases to new environment (backup & restore)
- Configuring security and access settings for all migrated databases
- Establishing link between client applications and migrated databases
