Job Title: JIRA Software Engineer

Job Type: Contract

Job Location: Brussels

Contract Rate: Euro 400 per day

Contract Length: 12 Months with Multiple extensions

Our Client, one of the world's foremost IT Consultancies, is looking to recruit a Contract JIRA Software Engineer to join their client in Brussels.

Details-

  • Initial configuration of the Service Desk/Operation model both for the EC Service Desk Team and the EC Technical Desk
    • Definition and documentation of Service Desk escalation processes and protocols and Service Desk agents manuals;
    • Configuration of Jira Service Desk from Atlassian integrated with the Jira tool used by the development teams of EESSI. The Service Desk tool will be hosted in DIGIT and the European Commission will provide the licenses. The task just refers to the initial configuration. This configuration should allow end users to put tickets in specific electronic forms accessible with "authentication" that would allow to gather all the necessary information to treat the request.
    • Establishment of the monitoring/reports and KPIs.
    • Role

    This task consists in installing the Jira Service Desk module, setting up the web forms to interact with the users and configuring the JIRA Service Desk instance in concordance with the incident management process and the change management process in place in the EESSI project. The task includes the internal setup of the flows in the tool to interact with the Jira used by the EC Development team.

    Also, the elements such as the QoS measuring of SLAs should be included in this phase.

    This includes:

    • The production of an action plan at the start of the task listing all the foreseen activities. Each activity will specify the conditions on which it is considered completed (definition of done);
    • The development and deployment of the web forms (to a maximum extent in the Jira Service Desk plug in), including the production of an installation and configuration manual;
    • The configuration of the JIRA Service Desk instance in terms of workflows and processes, user management, development of specific scripts to support particular processes in the EESSI project (at least Change Management, other processes to be reviewed and decided);
    • The production of a configuration manual for the JIRA Service Desk instance specifying all the actions taken to tailor the instance to the EESSI Project needs.
