Description

Roc Search are currently recruiting for a Scrum Master for a client of ours based in Brussels. 12 Month Contract - £500 a day - Brussels.

Your responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility of the team Agile/SCRUM development process, actively planning SCRUM ceremonies and acting as a servant leader by mentoring, respecting and optimizing the team's dynamics
  • Act as a protector of the team by making sure they do not over-commit themselves and protect the team from complacency
  • Remove any impediments to progress, facilitating meetings, and working with the Product Owner to make sure the product backlog is in good shape and ready for the next sprint
  • Establish an efficient and effective Agile process for the team and its dependent teams within the organization and align a proper team's pace with volatile regulatory requirements from Product Owner's end
  • Foster a rewarding team culture
  • Delegate and empower others to outperform
  • Share best practices and opportunities for improvement with other Scrum Masters
  • Act as Change Ambassador for business processes as defined in our Quality Management System
  • Support Product Development key initiatives and programs by adopting and supporting these changes into the team's processes
  • Review and report on team performance as part of the Team Dashboard

Qualifications and Skill Set

  • A solid academic background in Economics, Business Engineering, Computer Science, Banking and Finance or a strong affinity with those topics through prior relevant work experience
  • Preferably 5+ years of relevant experience in people management with team dynamics in a complex organizational set-up and international context with multiple stakeholders
  • Preferably 2+ years of relevant working experience as a Scrum Master
  • Experience with Information Technology
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills - feeling comfortable with stakeholder & management reporting and presentations
  • Be a people person, you get your thrill from empowering team members into a winning team
  • Practical experience with standards and tools defined in Lean, Agile, Scrum Certification in one or more of these areas is a plus
  • Fluent in English (written and oral), other relevant languages are assets
