Sopra Steria Recruitment is working in partnership with a major Public sector client in the UK. We are currently recruiting an Governance and Assurance Officer for an initially 2 months contract based in London


Job Title: Governance and Assurance Officer

Location: City of London

Contract Length: 2 months


Purpose of the job

To provide a range of efficient and effective corporate and governance support services to the CCG. You will provide advice and support to colleagues and the organisation on governance matters and the flow of business across our teams and Committees.

The members of the Governance and Assurance Team are expected to support each other in providing a responsive, efficient and professional service to the CCG and our stakeholders, with the Governance and Assurance Officer also tasked with a variety of other short to medium term projects and supporting other members of the team as required.

Key Result Areas

Services to Committees

To provide effective and efficient secretariat and administrative support to an allocated portfolio of Committees including:

* Booking and preparing meeting venues;

* Forward planning;

* Preparation of agendas;

* Collation of papers;

* Quality assurance (of your own and colleagues' meeting packs);

* Publication of meeting packs in line with the CCGs standards;

* Support of the meeting and Committee Chair;

* Providing hard copies of meetings packs;

* Producing high quality minutes;

* Coordinating follow-up actions and decisions across the organisation.
